Matching Funds Awarded to KONE Thailand Employees to Help Children in the Local Community

Once again, KONE Thailand employees have reached another milestone in their ongoing efforts to make a difference for the children in need in the local community.
In July 2023, KONE Centennial Foundation Matching Funds were awarded to KONE Thailand employees to support Zero-to-Hero, a local foundation serving underprivileged children in a rural community in Central Thailand.
In partnership with Huana School, a public school in the village of Na Yom located in the Phetchabun Province, Zero-to-Hero provides active-learning-based educational programs to children in the local community. KONE Thailand employees have been involved in supporting the Zero-to-Hero Foundation since 2018.
The fundraising campaign was initiated by KONE Thailand employees in May 2023, aiming to help the Zero-to-Hero Foundation purchase a Smart TV to facilitate children’s learning at Huana School.
The campaign successfully motivated twenty KONE Thailand employees and collected 30,055 THB in donations. This campaign also awarded matching funds from the KONE Centennial Foundation. As a result, a total 60,110 THB contribution was donated to support Zero-to-Hero.

KONE Centennial Foundation has provided matching funds to KONE employees to help local nonprofit projects serving children and youth in need since 2021.
This is the second time the KONE Centennial Foundation matching funds initiative is awarded to KONE Thailand employees to help local children. During the pandemic in 2021, their successful fundraising campaign to support children’s remote learning also drew matching funds from the Foundation.
