Spread the joy of reading
Now that we’re living in a digital world, libraries and bookstores may feel like a thing of the past. However, there always seems a lots of fun sprouting in our mobile library — and its young readers do love our books. This is the case for a big truck that attracts crowds and spreads the joy of reading everywhere it went.
Since September of 2011, this big colourful box on wheels has given out thousands of books for more than 70,000 young readers who have limited access to books. We have been traveling around China, carrying all kinds of reading materials for children that many will love, incl. picture books, fictions, history and sciences. For the past years, we have been keeping working on our mission, to let children enjoy of reading and make reading to become a more convenient and enjoyable thing.
Borrowing books on the Mobile Library
There are so much fun in reading in mobile library, “Children’s magazine booklets"-which contain activities for young children that enable them to experience the joy of reading while playing, solving puzzles and acquiring new skills and information. Besides that, playing Floorball equipment that provided from our partner attracts children’s interests. On P.E. class, some students were playing Floorball with our mobile crews on the playground, meanwhile other students were listening other sharing and introducing good book to them quietly.

Also, students may also find different places in the world by looking globe in the mobile library: searching for where Hangzhou is and where their hometown is, such as Chongqing, Henan, Jiangxi and other places. They can also check the countries outside China, for example: the largest country in the world-Russia; the largest country in the southern hemisphere-Australia; the most significant line of globe-the equator. ‘’What a big world!” Students were surprised and laughing.

Mobile library crew has been very popular among students. They do a lot of things together- reading books, painting, playing floorball and eating. Many children give small gifts to the them, such as folded paper, fruits, snacks, a card made by themselves. This is lovely.

In the beginning of this year, we got a new mobile library and we believe that our new mobile library continues spreading the joy of reading . Because, we hope that all children could choose their favourite books happily, read happily , and to be a happy little reader.
